One of the clear distinguishing features of a Fascist cult is its irrational criminal violence. Another is the antipathy towards market forces, choice and profit. Demands to silence critics, destroy scientists who doth protest too much against the IPCC, and even plans to 'cull the human herd', are examples of the intolerant shrillness which infects pagan cults. No markets, no price points, no technology application – just big government handing out money, subsidies and grants. Co2 Emissions today are at their 2^nd lowest level in history.

During the Jurassic Period (200 mya), average CO2 concentrations were about 1800 ppm or about 4.7 times higher than today.

The highest concentrations of CO2 during all of the Paleozoic Era occurred during the Cambrian Period, nearly 7000 ppm -- about 18 times higher than today.

The Carboniferous Period and the Ordovician Period were the only geological periods during the Paleozoic Era when global temperatures were as low as they are today. Ice Ages are the norm:

The Poles are not melting:

Likewise with the Arctic. The US government center of Snow and Ice reported that the Arctic had shrunk. In reality as the following chart reveals, the Arctic ice mass is quite stable. The US government using 'models' had somehow missed an area of ice larger than California in making its calculations and declarations. How incompetent is that ? Why are we not surprised that union workers with axes to grind 'missed' an area the size of California when presenting their hysterical claims of a massive Arctic ice melt ? This was not done by accident.

L Ron Gore, one of the main architects of this fraud and someone who should be in jail, has mused recently that maybe Co2 has little to do with climate and that other GHGs including methane might be the culprits. Count on such posturing to continue indefinitely until people demand jail time for these impostors and losers and the return of public money, stolen through a scam, every bit as malicious and evil as anything concocted by Bernie Madoff, Bernie Ebbers at World Com, or the magicians at Enron.

But the cult will intone - you do love Mother Earth don't you ? You do really want to help her don't you ? Tears on cheeks, hands on heart, mind on the children's children's future. Yeah sure. How about this idea for saving the dear Gaia ? Capitalism.

The best way to clean up the local, national, and international environment is through market forces. The cleanest countries are the richest. The best environments are those which allow technology to be deployed. When governments get in the way distortions and chaos always result. Why for example are the Chinese employing Magnetic Levitation trains which run at 400 km per hour and which are far cleaner than other train technologies, and freeways crowded with cars ? The answer is simple, the Chinese government has privatized these rail developments knowing that the market and the profit principle will aid in not only relieving congestion but improving the environment.

Not so with the little minds in North America and Europe. Privatization of ecological protection, public transport, and communalized tragedies such as lakes, rivers, and oceans will never happen. It has to be a government solution in a world of welfare socialism. But of course these fail. By denying private ownership, markets, and solutions either novel or not yet dreamed up, governments ensure that money is wasted, bureaucracies elevated and processes reign supreme over results. The loser in all of this is both the environment and the economy.

By freeing up markets to provide solutions to local and national and in the case of oceans – international problems – real jobs, appliances and wealth would be created. Doing the opposite just leads to the current disaster we have. Governments making idiotic pacts about reducing carbon which will cost jobs and do nothing to affect temperatures. Ocean over-fishing. Local issues such as transport, congestion and riverine pollution unresolved.

A huge market opportunity exists. Free the forces to provide both public and private profit. That should be the only mandate of governments in their obsession with Mother Earth and all things 'green'.
