Moral equivalency has consequences

Cultural Marxism.

by StFerdIII

The UN’s role in the current Arab-Israeli conflict again highlights the many good reasons to distrust the United Nations.  For 6 years UN forces did nothing to uphold their own resolution to disarm Hizbollah. UN positions were routinely used by Hizbollah to launch rockets and attack unarmed civilians in northern Israel. Kofi Annan has publicly supported the Hizbollah terrorists by demanding an unconditional and immediate ceasefire that would leave in tact the terrorist organization. The UN itself has never condemned Hizbollah for being a terrorist group and in fact does not condemn fascist Islamic elements anywhere in the world outside of Al Qaeda and a few ancillary groups. Indeed, like the Europeans, the Useless Nations can’t even bring itself to find a definition of the word terrorism or terrorist – preferring to live in a parallel Orwellian world of newspeak vocabulary and double-talk. For this reason we should understand and acknowledge that the UN is not only an obstacle to the maintenance of Western civilization but a direct threat to its very survival. The UN is not our friend.

The United Nations is in fact diametrically opposed to Western civilization; some form of market based welfare capitalism; freedom, democracy and self realization; and a system of nation states that determine their own fates. This is self evident in UN actions, resolutions and pro-Arab and Muslim actions. The UN has never bothered to condemn fascist Islam, the murder of literally millions of non-Muslims in the past 50 years across the world; the jihad against the Jews and cross-worshippers in the Near East; nor has it expressed outrage on brutal human rights atrocities in Latin America, Central America, Russia, China, Africa, South-East Asia and throughout immoderate Islam. Yet the Useless Nations spends a lot of time admonishing Western democracies and Israel on everything from human rights abuses of minorities, to the delicate matter of equating Muslims with terrorists in the media, not to mention the choleric outrage over Abu Ghraib or Guantanamo Bay.

It is an obvious truism but it bears repeating. The UN is based on two concepts both of which are wrong, but lead inevitably to conflict with civilized states. First the UN is based on moral and cultural relativity wherein all ideas, concepts, cultures, opinions and histories are equal and good. Societies and cultures are of course anything but similar or relative, but this matters not to the UN ‘one world’ model. Second, the nation state system is anathema to the wondrously corrupt demi-gods that float through UN halls of power. To the liberal internationalist nothing is more nauseating than a state or group of people not bowing and groveling to the technocratic elite that should govern all micro-and macro-aspects of life and society. In the rush to create a one world model government independent governing bodies, accountable to local taxpayers and citizens are viewed with contempt by the UN elite. The basic attitude at the UN is that most people are stupid and should be managed by wiser, internationally ‘sensitive and aware’, Platonic guardians.

From global warming nonsense; to anti-capitalist ravings; to anti-Jew declarations; to pandemic fear mongering; to the inutility in keeping the peace stretching from Africa to Kosovo; to Arab and Islamic appeasement; it is clear that the United Nations has outlived any purported usefulness. The entire apparatus needs to be dismantled and only those agencies that focus on the environment, humanitarian relief; refugee aid; and medical support in third world countries should be kept. The rest including the IMF, the World Bank, and the vaunted Security Council, can go rest in peace. The current Middle East crisis highlights the futility of another useless multi-national organization.

In this vein the UN can’t make any distinction between civilization and barbarism. For the UN barbarism is entirely relative. A Hizbollah jihadist, is for the UN, only an expression of Arab outrage over Israeli aggression. A nuclear Iran to the UN, which has declared its intention to create a Jewish genocide, is just another nation state, like France and the US, with the power to decimate regions and populations. Hamas is according to the UN, a legitimate government that should be funded by the EU and US, since it represents the Palestinian ‘people’, even though Jordan was supposed to be the Palestinian state created by the 1948 partition of the British Levantine mandate. Iraqi Sunni terrorists destroying civil society are no worse according to the UN, then the US occupying power, and life under Hussein while nasty, brutish and corrupt was marginally better then life under the Anglo-Saxon regime. For the UN the basic concepts that inform life and liberty including freedom of speech, legal traditions, economic exchange, capital formation, innovation, and high standards of conduct, are not the important aspects of societal development. In a culture of post modern double talk a corrupt Iranian state is just as worthy as a democratic US polity or a struggling Iraqi democracy.

The U.N. failure to understand right and wrong, good and bad, freedom and tyranny, has made it a laughingstock. Consider the simple act of calling Islamic fascist terror what it is – Islamic fascist terror. In this rather simple and straightforward matter the UN’s 192 member states must form a commission and reach complete consensus. Ridiculous? You bet but that is how all UN agencies and commissions operate. So in defining terror, which for some member states might be important in giving them political cover to actually combat and fight Islamo-fascism, we will have the 57 states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) ensure that any definition is meaningless. In fact the OIC will actually ensure that any definition of terror will blame Western states, neo-imperialism and Western aggression. Just watch. So the UN, under its Arab-Islamic masters, will actually come out and condemn the West, through its definition of terrorism, and ignore Islamic and Muslim fascism and murder. Orwellian? Yes but that is the nether world of UN double talk.

The blatant corruption and immorality of the UN should have been obvious to all who bothered to follow the Iraqi Oil for food program and this should have been a very large and clear wake up call to the average person that the UN is not the one-world-moral model of unimpeachable honesty. The Iraqi Oil for Food scam was an unmitigated disaster that fed the allies of Islamic fascism and the Hussein cult. We see its effects in Iraq with Oil for Food money funding the terrorist insurgency and the sectarian strife [not to mention Iranian money and agents]. It was the hated Americans [as usual] that forced open the UN Oil for Food coffers to allow us to see the filth and waste in all its fetid glory. Kofi Annan UN Secretary General, Chirac, the Russians and Hussein himself, never expected the Americans to be sitting in Baghdad doing audits; and they never expected the US House and Senate to demand an investigation. According to the US investigations at least 2000 firms, $2 billion in kickbacks out of the $64 billion program, $21 billion in monies not yet accounted for, and the enrichment of anti-US, anti-war protestors ranging from UN officials, to Russian ministers, to lunatic English politicians, to French government officials, was the main outcome of the Oil for Food program. The obvious conclusion is that the rot is so deep, so terrifically obscene, that the UNO itself is a mockery.

Yet these facts never dominate the headlines. It is always the same internationalist nonsense. The UN is portrayed as the ‘one world model’ of moral authority and clarity. We see this in Lebanon where the US and Europe are mixing up clear war aims [destroy Hizbollah and get ready to move on Damascus] with facile, putrid UN double talk about respecting Lebanon’s democracy, securing Hizbollah’s right to political representation and not implicating too strongly either Syria or Iran for using Hizbollah to kill Jews and attack Israel. This mindless internationalism has never proven itself responsible for safe guarding our civilization yet it dominates any debate about establishing a lasting peace in the Near East – a peace that will only be achieved through numerous military victories.

It is time to limit the UN to a few roles it can adequately perform and to construct a new democratic-only club of nation states dedicated to fighting for civilization. We should cut off funds for the UN and erect another more intelligent and moral group of like minded nation states. Recognizing the UN for the terror supporting and anti-Western nuisance it is, would help clarify and energize our war on Islamic fascist terror.
