We need to 'refresh' the UN's mission

Tools have to be useful.

by StFerdIII

The United Nations has never supported freedom including what is going on now in rebuilding Iraq or Israel’s rational response at attacking Hizbollah in order to guarantee its existence. The UN is controlled by the Arab-bloc and the 3rd world anti-American voting cabal, and it has been forthrightly against any resolutions or positions which support the West or Israel. Democratic, capitalistic, scientific, rationalistic, or anti-socialistic positions are routinely vilified at the UN and have been for the past 40 years. There is no discernible proof, outside of some humanitarian missions, that the UN has done much good in the world except spend and waste vast amounts of money.

There is course a lot of proof that the UN has never defended freedom, democracy or the rights of individuals – its supposedly original mandate. The UN’s role in Iraq is just another example of why this organization must be shuttered or moved off to be housed in Kampala, Tehran, or Cairo. The UN has done nothing to establish, freedom, transparency or save the lives of Iraqi innocents. Iraq is just another example of UN uselessness and perfidy. The inutility of the UN just highlights the need for unilateral action to protect our interests, regardless of whether socialists and tree huggers agree or disagree. Now the UN is telling us that Iraq is a failure and that Lebanese ‘innocents’ 80% of whom support Hizbollah were ravaged by unrestrained Israeli military force. The UN should be telling us that the UN is a failure, and why it is irrelevant, not what it thinks about Iraq or Lebanon. If the UN wants a voice in world affairs it should clean up its own organization.

According to the UN, the Iraq war and mission is a failure. Funny, I had the dumb impression that deposing a despot, killing 50.000 plus terrorists, stopping a nexus of terror, corruption, genocide and external aggression as well as preventing Al Ansar and other Al Qaeda groups from using Iraq as a base; not to mention its happy geographical position right next to Iran, coupled with the necessary and moral demonstration of Western might against fascist Islam would be good news and a policy choice long overdue. Apparently not. The UN would have preferred the pre-2003 era with another $60 billion corrupt Oil for Food scam thrown in, a few hundred thousand more dead innocent Iraqis, another regional war of aggression, as well as the unlimited provisioning of nuclear materials and aid to Iran. After all why shouldn’t fascisms have nuclear warheads? Everything is relative of course is it not?

Now in Iraq the arch- Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is dead. His legions of insurgents are decimated and demoralized. Democracy is beginning to take hold and key compromises have been reached among the Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds to enable a unified national government to begin asserting control and bringing the country back from the brink of civil war that the terrorists have tried to foment from day one. Sure the country is a sordid, ugly, corrupt mess. But on the positive side coalition casualties have been declining, while daily life for Iraqis has improved since the fall of Saddam Hussein according to polls taken of the Iraqis themselves. These are singular accomplishments of the United States and its coalition partners. The Islamo-fascists wantonly kill fellow Muslims in mosques, wedding ceremonies or on the street while Western and US forces put their lives on the line to save the innocent from slaughter and enable them to have better lives in freedom.

Yet for the UN and the liberal-socialist axis of ignorance none of the painful successes in Iraq much matter. They would prefer more multi-lateral dialogue to understand Arab pain; a continuation of pagan Islamo-fascism throughout the Middle East and the destruction of innocent lives including even another 9-11 which seemed to make little if any impression on the Euro-UN elite. The UN and most of socialist Europe and the left liberal class in the US, want the United States to lose in Iraq so that they can say “I told you so”, while pouting with a full mouth and combing their hair. American liberals incredibly accuse their own government and troops of committing war crimes, when troops are shot at from mosques, homes, and gunned down or blown up by women, children and civilian clothed terrorists with nary a forewarning. In the murky world of guerilla warfare so called ‘innocent civilians’ are oftentimes not so innocent and rather uncivil. It is clear that to win such a war any and all resources supporting the terrorist insurgency including houses, mosques and family units must be destroyed.

There is no danger that the US will lose the war on terror in the field, starting in Iraq, and progressing to the timid Israeli military incursion in Lebanon. Both of these fronts are being fought by the West half-heartedly. The real danger is that the UN, the crying socialists, and the immoral relativists along with their liberal political friends will win the war in the US on the domestic front. If this happens and we leave the UN and Europe to defend civilization we might as all well start re-reading tomes about the Decline and Fall of Rome, to get a foretaste of the barbarian incursion which will nullify and tear down Western Civilisation. Only in this case it won’t take the 100 years from the first Gothic and Hunnic incursions for the West to fall. It might happen faster.

The West’s greatest danger are the socialists and liberals in office running their foreign policy and immigration systems both of which are decidedly against any harm or discrimination being done to Arabs or Muslims. In a recent US House vote on a resolution stating that, “the United States will prevail in the Global War on Terror, the struggle to protect freedom from the terrorist adversary…. [and that]..the terrorists have declared Iraq to be the central front in their war against all who oppose their ideology…that it is not in the national security interest of the United States to set an arbitrary date for the withdrawal or redeployment of United States Armed Forces from Iraq.”, only 42 Democrats, voted in favor, with 149 against. The Republicans on the other had voted 214 in favor of the resolution with only 3 against.

This typifies the anti-reality liberal movement that has captured the Democratic party in the US and the split in the vision of how fascist Islam and terror needs to be defeated between the 2 major US political parties. Simply stated we are witnessing a Democratic-legal opposition to winning the war against fascist Islam. Nothing expresses this better than the above resolution’s vote count and the recent ruling from a Detroit Federal judge [liberal of course] that wiretapping without a warrant is anti-constitutional. Funny – I did not realize you can get a warrant for pattern mapping and puzzle solving. This is just another terrorist victory handed to fascist Islam by indignant, politicized liberals and one which is fully supported by the Democratic party. It is hard to take a political party seriously, or a legal elite for that matter, which truly believes that pattern mapping which has prevented attacks on bridges, towers and innocents is anti-constitutional.

The fantasy that clouds the liberal vision is the ridiculous idea that only the UN gives multi-lateral action some sort of legitimacy. This is preposterous. The UN has no threshold for membership and functioning democracies are outnumbered by autocratic states - as the only claimant to multilateral ‘legitimacy’, by 3:1. When the United Nations is paralyzed by its own dysfunctionalism from taking effective action to combat a widely acknowledged threat like Saddam Hussein or Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the choice is not between UN multilateralism and U.S. unilateralism. A coalition of democracies is certainly one alternative and the best one available. After all, how can any rational democracy entrust its security to a ‘world organization’ that has not only consistently failed to halt grave threats to peace, but allows overt aggressors to pervert its founding principles to suit themselves? It is high time to push the UN into oblivion – all in the name to secure and defend our Western civilization.
