This week’s events only confirm the obvious: the United Nations has lost its moral compass.  Prime Minister Harper of Canada told the UN that the success of the UN mission in Afghanistan would determine the fate of the organization’s legitimacy. Citing failures stretching from the Balkans to Africa, Harper reiterated the necessity of defeating fascist terrorist inspired Islam, the morality of Western society and the supremacy of our civilization. He was talking to the wrong crowd however. The UN has little interest in the success of Afghanistan or Iraq. It is doing very little to nothing in either theatre. The UN has never acted in its history to oppose evil. In fact the UN as a collectivity has no concept of evil, being a tool of post modern liberalism and anti-western, anti-jewish bias.

It is embarrassing and infuriating that the UN cheered this week’s ravings of lunatics Chavez and Ahmadinejad while ignoring or condemning the moderate and lucid speech of Bush. Bush stated the obvious about Iran; Islamic terror and the necessity to secure freedom through force and the establishment, however painful it will be, of some form of democratic accountability in the Islamic world. But such ideals hold no interest for the vast majority of the UN’s 193 states. Immoral relativity dominates the views of a majority of the UN general assembly. What Harper and Bush should have stated was the establishment of what Alistair Gordon of the Canadian Center for Democracies called, the ‘Council of Free Nations’. Such a council of free, proud, Western and modern states would be a surer guide to international security then bowing down before the rancorous idiocy that passes for the Useless Nations Organization. Harper and Bush should have announced the departure of their respective countries from the UN or at least, demanded reforms in exchange for funding.

This week’s demonstration of UN perfidy was remarkable. One can start with the Latin dictator Chavez, in analyzing the depravity of the UN system. After seizing power in a military coup and winning two fraudulent, rigged elections the new 'Bolivar' struts around world capitals like a modern day Mussolini – only devoid of Roman charm and learning. Nothing in Venezuela matches the supposed mandate of the UN stretching from its obsession with human rights to free and fair elections and transparency in government. Chavez in other words stands diametrically opposed to the UN and its raison d’etre. Yet he is received as a hero by the UN general assembly, even after he raves like a mad barking dog about the Bush mafia; US genocidal intentions and US imperialist crimes against humanity. Chavez is barely coherent enough to manage an insane asylum let alone a nation that has oil reserves. But the UN applauds him.

Chavez has mismanaged his nation’s oil reserves, with output of course falling as he and his friends skim off money in corruption and fraud. Nationalizing foreign firm’s oil operations will only ensure that needed technology, capital and expertise are not used in the Venezuelan oil industry. Over time this industry will falter. Since oil accounts for most of the Venezuelan budget it is clear that in the near future cash and budget crises will erupt as production and oil prices fall. Nor has Chavez helped the poor – his supposed base. Like all fascisms the elite gain the most from the state appropriation of wealth and assets. Propaganda, anti-American racist rhetoric, educational control and hatred of all things modern might emotionally satisfy some of the poor, but it won’t relieve their poverty or ignorance. The UN collectivity however, does not worry about such matters.

Like Ahmadinejad Chavez wants to create a new hegemonic power in his corner of the world. Chavez wants to dominate Bolivian natural gas, Andes oil deposits and depose Brazil as the leader of South America. He wants to create an anti-white; anti-American bloc of Latin nations united under his leadership and capable of extending their power worldwide – into the UN and beyond. He is a dangerous and deranged demagogue, one that is the US’ 3rd largest supplier of oil and one that is capable of uniting Central and Latin America into a large anti-US bloc. But the UN has nothing to say about such matters.

Ahmadinejad is an Islamic fascist intent on using nuclear weapons to wipe out Israel and control the Middle East and its oil. What Iran wants is hegemonic dominance over the Persian and Arab states and control over oil, not to mention the eradication of 5 million Jews living in Israel. Keep in mind the Persians have little regard and less love for the Arabs whom they view as weak; corrupt and lazy. They are naturally inferior. Ahmadinejad riding high on oil prices and profits now wants to re-establish a sort of Sassanid Caliphate, a super-power that for centuries challenged the might of Rome but fell to the Islamic Arab conquests. In the modern world, the US is Rome, and Iran the neo-Sassanid empire. To achieve this nuclear weapons are necessary.

As usual the UN has little to say on this matter, other than the oft-mentioned parade of non-sensical comments and the usual litany of wasteful discussions and dialogues with deadlines given and no tangible punishment effected on Iran missing the deadline. The Russians and French have too much investment at risk in Iran, so 'talks' will go nowhere. Yet without firm military options as well as economic sanctions the Iranian regime will simply ignore the UN and Euro elite jet set. The UN must learn that results are more important than discussions. It certainly must also understand that embracing men as evil and despotic as the leaders of Venezuela and Iran is met with de-funding, punishment and even the withdrawal of free states from the UNO.
