Who defends civilization?

Only the Anglo's have consistently defended modernity.

by StFerdIII

In the past 400 years only the Anglo-Saxons with selective ‘allied’ help, have defended civilization. They have done this whilst inventing the modern world political-economy, and creating a world that is richer, better, more moral and literate than most the lurid of fantasies would have foretold in 1500 A.D. Who else will defend civilization? The Arabs, the Muslims, the Chinese, the Japanese, the Russians, the French, the Germans, the Latins, the Mexicans or those freedom loving Brazilians? Please. No other group has done more for civilization than the Anglos. Yet no other group is more victimized than the Anglos.

Over a period of 200 years the Anglos destroyed France’s ambition to put Europe under the heel of French autocratic governance. The Sun King’s expansionism was thwarted in the late 17th and early 18th century by the British commander John Duke of Marlborough. The English had significant help from the Dutch, Belgians and Prussians, but it was English sea power, arms, money and leadership that was the vital difference. This combination would again be used to destroy a totalitarian precursor of Hitler – Napoleon – in the 19th century. Napoleon’s rape of Europe set back European development by two generations and it was the British control of the sea, its military genius on land and the funding of allies to make them stay in the war, which saved Europe from totalitarian French rule.

During the 19th century it was the Royal Navy that abolished the slave trade; annihilated piracy and forced open global trading routes that led to the modern form of globalization. Free trade premised on orthodox liberal economics was accepted by the mid-19th century much to the benefit of the masses. Monopolies were either reformed or smashed leading to a decrease in political corruption and an increase in wealth. Increased middle class aspirations necessitated political reforms and the representative system of democratic government, based on checks and balances, was slowly developed. During this century it was British and then American military might which kept the autocratic kleptocracies of Europe, Africa and Latin America in abeyance.

British imperial rule was significant in the civilized development of ‘colonies’. Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, India and South Africa all benefited greatly from British rule. The American republic adapted British legal, social, political and economic rules to its advantage. Uganda and other African states prospered under light British rule, falling apart as soon as the British left in the 1960s – never to recover their rapid economic or political development which they had experienced under the British. India and Pakistan engaged in a bloody civil war as soon as the British left, leaving millions dead. It was lucky for Gandhi that his peaceful, non-violent protests and calls for Indian independence occurred in a British colony and not a Russian, French, German or Chinese colony. He would simply have been shot.

During the three world wars of the 20th century [including the Cold War], it was the Anglo’s who defended the West and won the conflict. France would have collapsed in the First World War without the millions of British and empire soldiers who fought on land and sea. It was the British sea blockade of Germany, along with the onrushing millions of American manhood, that forced Hindenburg to stop the war.

Likewise in the Second World War, it was Churchill and England that held on despite domestic and international calls for peace during June 1940 – after the fall of France. If the British had fallen in 1940 or 1941 it is hard to say when or how Europe would have been saved by the Americans. It was the British, the Canadians, the Aussies and the Americans that fought Hitlerism in the Near East, North Africa, on the Atlantic and eventually in Italy and in France and Germany proper, that allowed the Soviets to defeat Hitler’s Wehrmacht in the East.

Without the British bombing campaigns which deranged German industry and diverted huge numbers of the Luftwaffe, Russia would have fallen. The constant drain on Germany in fighting the Anglo’s in various theatres was crucial to relieve the pressure on the Soviets. It was also the Americans that defeated the Japanese – with no Soviet help – thus securing the Pacific and allowing the formation of democratic states which in various forms became industrialized ‘tigers’.

For 400 years it was the Anglo’s and their dependencies that fought for freedom. Where are the heroic tales of Mexicans throwing themselves in the barbed wire of Vimy Ridge in 1917? Where are the Brazilian battalions battling the Panzers in North Africa? How many Arabs and Muslims died in the Normandy landings? Indian sepoys under British leadership, as part of the great British commonwealth, did marvelous work in the Middle East and in Europe during both World Wars. What exactly did the Spanish, Danes, Swedes, Thais, or Moroccans do?

It is good and well to rail and scream against the modern world, spitting out Marxist fantasies about ‘core-periphery’ imperialism, or the plight of the environment, or the destruction of ‘cultures’. These are philosophical justifications for socialism, fascism, totalitarianism, or they are just ignorant expositions of juvenile and adolescent and incomplete thought patterns. It is convenient to cry and wail against all matter of real and supposed Anglo-Saxon crimes and conspiracies throughout history and the annihilation of this or that vaunted and much cherished tribal culture or ethos. It is simplistically easy to engage in post-modern babble about multi-culturalism, sensitivity and compassion to make yourself feel good. But these demonstrations of limited intellect are essentially a waste of time.

Abstract and ridiculous theories might make you feel good since such notions are apparently a surrogate for real religious spirituality. But such deceitful nonsense does not mean that they are accurate or intelligent. If you want to discuss slavery for example, discuss the 30 million whites sold into Arab markets over 1000 years, or the 10 million blacks shipped to the Americas by black middlemen. Maybe you can discuss why blacks owned black slaves in the US during the 19th century, or why blacks today still own black slaves in West Africa and Brazil, or why Muslims still slave-trade, or why the Chinese run gulag camps of slaves producing cheap product for export. This is too detailed and nuanced of course for the screaming socialists and Marxists.

And that is only one example. You could carry such a debate into every corner of the parallel Marxist universe from income redistribution to the earth-goddess Gaia eco-fascist cult scam.

When other multi-cult groups start to defend freedom then maybe we can take their post modern UN sponsored posturing seriously. When I hear and see that the Arabs, the Africans, the Europeans, the Russians and the Chinese are going to engage Islamic fundamentalism and fascism in order to secure freedom and civilization, then maybe we can take the post-modern ‘one world model’ claptrap seriously. Until then screaming that all cultures are the same, that the Anglo-whites are to blame, and that all imperialism and war is bad, especially Anglo-warring, is moronic. Show me who else has defended civilization?

Until you can prove that other ‘races’ and ‘cultures’ will defend the modern world, then please just shut up or at least consign yourself to scream alone in the forest, whilst hugging your trees.
