Arab Palestine has never existed in history.

Arab claims to the 'Levant' are a fantasy.

The Old Testament is a remarkable and rather accurate portrayal of wars, invasions, takeovers and struggles from about 1400 B.C. until 100 years before Christ. The battles given in the Old Testament have archeologically been proven as fact. Thus the world's oldest battle, that of Megiddo which gives rise to the word Armageddon [Hebrew for the hill of Megiddo], occurred in 1450 B.C. between invading Egyptian armies and local Jewish forces. Megiddo was an ancient stronghold north of Jeru-salem or city of peace, which fortified important passes and trade routes running north and south to and from Jerusalem and beyond. Oddly enough for the fanatical Marxist rewriters of history, no document including the Old Testament makes any mention of an Arab presence in the area of Israel. It is a fantasy that Arabs inhabited the Levant before their invasions of 636 A.D. and 'Palestine' as a state, place or tribe has never existed before Arafat and the PLO invented it, post World War Two.

The Jews lost the battle of Megiddo and succeeding encounters with the Egyptians, and many were forced into slavery. Thus was the price of losing ancient wars. After a few generations of enslavement Moses led thousands out of Egypt [through the marshy Sea of Reeds, not the Red Sea], and back into the land of Canaan or Israel around 1250 B.C. It is highly likely that this exodus and the early Hebrews were originally the lower caste orders of the Canaanite tribes - slaves, workers, and the dispossessed. Led by Moses and his vision of one God and a power which had a special contract with the poorer orders the Hebrews probably grew out of the Canaanite tribes into a distinct Semitic entity. This would help explain many of the Hebrews astonishing victories over the much more populous Canaanite and other tribes inhabiting the Levant.

Moses successor Joshua, one of history's greatest generals, conquered Israel or large tracts of it, in the 13th century, leading a poorly armed mob against a superior culture's better trained armies and walled cities. Joshua's brilliant military and social leadership is a little studied aspect of world and Near Eastern history. Without someone of Joshua's calibre the rag-tag Hebrew forces would have been annihilated by their kin the Canaanites. Somehow, for no one is certain how he did it, Joshua stormed and took heavily fortified walled cities such as Jericho - the world's oldest town, inhabited by Semitics since 10.000 B.C. - or well manned fortresses in high passes which guarded trade and travel routes. The Bible thanks God for the destruction of the walls of Jericho after 7 days of riotous Hebrew noise and clamor. More likely Joshua had somehow infiltrated the city and set fire to its massive stone structures which protected it.

The Jews have always been blessed with timely and effective leadership. A few generations after Joshua it was David, the man in whose reign the Psalms were written, who completed what Joshua had started. Along with Moses and Joshua he is the greatest leader the Jews have had, defeating the Philistines, Jebusites, Edomites and the remnants of the Canaanites establishing a highly successful and prosperous Israelite regime which dominated the Levant area from present day Lebanon to the Egyptian border. It was also the legendary status of King David which would help inform the Messiah and divine status of Christ 1000 years later - the star of David, the house of David, and the supernatural strength of David, all find their echo in Christ whose life was rewritten by Paul and others to make it appear that he was descended from the greatest of Jewish leaders.

The Philistines whom David defeated including the giant Goliath in single combat were not Arabs. Philistines are called the 'Sea Peoples' in Egypt and the Old Testament. The Sea Peoples emanated from the climate disaster which followed the eruption of the island of Thera [or Atlantis in Plato's world], which dessicated whole areas of the Near East. The volcanic destruction of Thera or Atlantis wiped out the Minoan civilisation on Crete and the first Hittite empire in Turkey. The Hittites were a mixture of Greek and Indo European tribes who established a very powerful empire before the time of Moses. The Sea Peoples arrived in Egypt and the Levant soon after Thera's destruction, and they were most likely a mix of Greeks, Hittites and Semitics who had seen their urban centers violated, water supplies compromised, and their populations reduced in the aftermath of a natural catastrophe.

A large group of the Philistines were Greek speakers and they established new cities along the Gaza-Levantine coast. In time the northern group of the Philistines would become the Phoenicians and by 800 B.C. would be recognised as the most skilled seafarers of the Mediterranean. These tribes would go on to establish Carthage and fight Rome in 3 wars for Mediterranean hegemony ultimately losing and having the city state of Carthage completely destroyed in 146 B.C.

In any case the Sea Peoples, the Philistines of the Bible, and the Phoenicians of the Greek and Roman world were not Arabs.

When Pompey conquered Judea and Israel in 66 B.C. the area was renamed in honor of the Philistines to Philistinia and then later to Palestine. When Vespasian and Titus took Jerusalem in 70 A.D. and used Jewish gold and art to build the Coliseum in Rome, the word Palestine was becoming the established name in Roman legal and governmental levels to describe what historically is called the Levant. Roman documents make it clear that Arab tribes lived quite a bit to the south and east of what we now call Israel, Gaza and the West Bank. We know this because Roman documents are quite clear about the payments made to the important Arab tribes living on the desert fringes outside of Palestine, to patrol the borders and keep the peace on behalf of Rome. Even in Roman times the Arabs were never a presence north of the desert lines which marked Arabia and parts of southern Syria. They were nomads, poor, brutal and best left to themselves.

Modern day 'Palestinians' are nothing more than Arabs who have lived in the area since the battle of Yarmuk in 636 B.C. in which the Islamic hosts defeated a larger but exhausted and poorly led Byzantine Christian force. The Jews welcomed the Arabs initially as liberators - tired as they were of excessive Christian taxation and prejudice. What a mistake that turned out to be. The Arabs and Muslims, along with Nazis and Communists have proven themselves the greatest slaughterers and murderers of Jews in history. Not even the Mongol fascination with widespread genocide can match the Arab-Muslim resolve to destroy all Jews.

Arab Palestine is thus a myth. 2000 years after the Jews had established empires in Israel, did the Arabs arrive, conquer, and rule. Who land is being occupied ? When viewed in the long lens of history it is the Arabs who are occupying Jewish-Canaanite land imposing on parts of it, with exhortations to control all of it, ancient Israelite property. It is the Arabs who are the interlopers with their destructive ideology and their penchant for mayhem and anti-civilisational barbarity.
