Samaria is Jewish land. It is not the 'West Bank'

The disappointment of Bibi Netanyahu.

by StFerdIII

The disappointment of politics. Israeli PM Netanyahu is easily the most competent, honest, scrupulously informed and realistic PM that Israel has had in quite a long time. In stark contrast to the Rabin 'Party of Peace' cult which dominated Israeli politics during the 1990s and beyond, Netanyahu knows that land for peace is a loser. The whole point of the Arab and Muslim Jihad against Israel is to exterminate it. Taking parts of land, one negotiation at a time, is one path to achieve this objective. How sad then, that Bibi has endorsed a 'two-state' solution. He knows that it is suicide. Yet for sundry reasons, the pressures of politics have forced him to be weak, unrealistic, and eventually irrelevant.

In this not so new form of weak appeasement the Muslims would get control of the 'West Bank', which should known by its real name – Samaria. Once the capital of the ancient Jewish empire, Samaria would be forever lost to the Muslims. No peace will be achieved of course. Just a new base for the Jihad and a closer proximity to Tel Aviv for the ever peaceful, kind, tolerate Muslim and Arab fanatics to launch their rockets and kill yet more Jews.

An excellent blog on this disaster is http://www.shomroncentral.blogspot.com/ run by Gottlieb, a New York born Jew and professional, who now lives in Samaria and who has detailed its historic and strategic importance. The Jews have been resident in Samaria for over 3400 years. They have bought and have legal rights to the land. If Netanyahu gives up Samaria, which has been renamed in the media and by the Muslims as the 'West Bank' you might as turn off the lights in the rest of Israel and the Israeli Jews should get ready to depart to New York – if the owners of the new Mega Mosque two blocks from 9-11 and their political dogs would allow that of course. Without their ancient heartland, modern Israel is indefensible.

Context and information from this very good blog:

Historical: Constant Jewish Presence. Despite numerous expulsions over the centuries, the Jews had a continuous presence in their land since they first entered Jericho during the time of Joshua 3400 years ago. Innumerable archeological findings throughout the Land of Israel bear witness to the presence of the Jewish People in their homeland throughout the millennia.

Legal: Never was a Jewish Occupation. The Jordanian occupation of the "West Bank" between 1949 and 1967 was never recognized internationally for the simple reason that it occupied territories that, according to international agreements, international decisions and international law, belonged to the Jewish National Home. In fact, legally speaking, the only title to Judea and Samaria belonged and still belongs to the State Of Israel, thus there CANNOT be an "occupation".

From San Remo to Samaria: The legal position of the whole of Palestine was clearly defined in several international agreements. The most important is the one adopted at the 1920 San Remo Conference which decided to assign the Mandate for Palestine under the League of Nations to Britain. Two years later an agreed text was confirmed by the League and came into operation in September 1923. In Article 2 of that document, the League of Nations declared that "The Mandatory shall be responsible for placing the country under such political, administrative and economic conditions as will secure the establishment of the Jewish national home, as laid down in the preamble.” In the preamble it was clearly stated that "recognition has hereby been given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country.” It was on this basis that the British Mandate was established.

In 1967, forty-five years after the League of Nations Declaration in San Remo,
Israel retrieved her rightful possession of the territories assigned to the Jewish People as a National Home. How her possession of her own homeland can be called the "Occupation of Palestinian territories" is beyond explanation. What is tragic is that the Jews themselves have adopted this usage and made it a cornerstone of their own national policy.

Gottlieb summarizes the Left's penchant for destruction in their inane Marxist-Islamist alliance. A more putrid form of a diseased contract cannot be found:

The Left is wholly unsuited to meet the unique challenges facing the world today. The war on terror both in Israel and globally is asymmetrical which requires a different set of ground rules. It also requires the ability to identify an enemy that is sometimes amorphous.  On the Left’s watch, Europe is morphing into Eurabia and it is on their watch that the global war on terror is slowly being lost. In Israel, the Terror War’s ground zero, the minority Left wields disproportionate power and poses a significant threat not only to Israel’s survival, but by extension, to the world’s safety as well.

The Left or Leftards as they should be called, are at least as much of a menace as the Islamic moon cult.
