The ICC and Libya.

Another useless international institution.

by StFerdIII

Much like the IMF, the ICC or International Criminal Court is an institution looking for a purpose to exist. So we have yet another Serbian, Mladic, under investigation for war crimes in Srebrenica, in which supposedly 8.000 Moslems were slaughtered. How outrageous! The problem is that this crime was never proven and the death toll of 8.000 never supported. The other issue is that from Srebrenica and surrounding territory thousands of Serbs were killed by Moslem militia. But no Moslem leader has been indicted for these crimes, all of which were supported in detail by Serb officials with body counts, documents and eyewitness reports. The ICC and the UN were 'profoundly' distressed with Serb actions and warring. But apparently the Moslem equivalent is fine.

Now the same farce emanating from Europe and the inane ICC is playing out in Libya. Tyrants dominate the Islamo-Arab world, Christians and Jews are routinely attacked and murdered, non-Muslim sites desecrated or destroyed, civilians assaulted ad infinitum by the Arab and Moslem state in question. Not a word from the EU or UN. But after Gaddhafi shoots at civilians in a civil-war the great minds get very busy. An arrest warrant is issued for Gaddhafi's arrest, ensuring that he will fight it out to the end. But hardly a harsh word for the other despots, dictators and destroyers who attack non-Muslims, or engage in unfettered civilian attacks and carnage, throughout the width and breadth of the failed Moslem-Arab world. Gaddafi has been oppressing Libyans for over 30 years. He’s also been sending out assassins and encouraging terrorists. He’s sabotaged airliners, blown up discos, tried to acquire nuclear weapons, and done what he can to subvert neighbours.

During all that mischief, the ICC didn’t see fit to issue a warrant for his arrest. Instead, leaders of democratic countries competed to shake his hand. He was appointed to the UN Human Rights Commission, made the president of the African Union, won accolades from countries that sought to share his oil wealth.

It was only when the Libyan people rebelled against his repressiveness, that the “free” world took note and said “for shame.” Until then, President Barack Obama was silent and, if not approving of Gaddafi, tolerated his tyranny.

Obama’s predecessors also tolerated Gaddafi — with the notable exception of Ronald Reagan who tried to kill him in an air strike in retaliation for the bombing of a German disco that killed U.S. soldiers.

Although he supports British, French and Canadian air attacks on Gaddafi, Obama insists he’s not trying to kill him or force a regime change.

The hypocrisy is stunning.

Not stunning but just to be expected. The IMF will make a 'stunning' loan to Greece to further its misery and prolong the life of the Euro. The World Bank will continue to making 'stunning' and quite negative investments in the developing world – all of it tax payer funded from the 'evil Northern countries'. The UN will continue to make 'stunning' resolutions against Israel and fund radical Moslem and Arab organizations and states dedicated to its liquidation.

The ICC is part of the farce of internationalism, globalism and the importunate political games that these institutions play. A warrant for Gaddhafi's arrest? How about squaring the circle of the Serbian-Moslem conflict in the Balkans during the 1990s and start indicting Bosnian Moslem war criminals first? Apparently that conflict happened in Europe. Apparently Libya is situated in North Africa......Maybe the ICC and the Euro-elite can take care of its their business in their own backyard first. We don't need a political group based in the Hague choosing winners and losers in the international lottery of criminality.
