The Leftist-Socialist reaction to the Zeuro`s demise.

The usual pattern. Nothing will be learnt.

by StFerdIII

The Euro will fail. It has to. An unnatural currency area, built on the diseased layers of socialist-communalist governance, inert and prey to the depredations of the big government-big union-big corporate nexus, it was an experiment of political opportunism and not one of rational optimism. Currencies have to be natural, backed up by real precious metals, and resting on solid financial conditions. None of this is true with the Zeuro. But reality has little to do with Euro apologia and panegyrists.

In the current modern dark age we can expect a furious counter-assault by the supporters of unbridled statism in the academic, media and political classes. Their denial of the obvious will mimic the tried and true template used in the past 60 years to deflect attention away from the real issues, and foist the reasons for the 'collapse' and the 'catastrophe' onto other actors. As with GlobaloneyWarmongering and other cults, the prostration to state power has rendered the cult's devotees completely immune to logic, reason and reality. The cult is uber alles. The Euro must rule, because European socialism is the most benign, moral and perfect establishment of socio-political development in man's history. Or so the big brains tell us.

The templated reaction to the coming Zeuro collapse and the eventual ugly, twisted and perhaps even bloody ending of Euro-land will follow the usual pattern one can view in drug addicts, porn users, alcoholics and sexual deviancies.

  1. Deny there is a problem. Bond markets have belatedly forced the Euro zone to recognize that its drunken orgy of socialist spending is more than just a pyscho-somatic illness. It is a cancer. But many Euro big wigs deny that socialism or government is the core of the problem. No Euro state is remotely interested in reforms.

  2. Divide and conquer. Euroland countries, the ECB and the political elite will try to shift all of the market focus to 'contained' problems in little places like Greece or Portugal. All Euro states are technically bankrupt, but the larger states will try to immunize themselves from market forces by focusing market attention on the peripheral states. It might buy them some time.

  3. Do more of the same. Like the anointed Obama's failed presidency, the Euro socialist elite will whine that more debt, more stimulus and more government attention will 'stabilize' the current situation. More money is going to disappear into the Euroland bankruptcy hole. Much of it will come from the IMF which is an expert at stealing tax money from various richer nations and wasting it on bailing out failed states. Like a drug addict who thinks that reducing his tokes from 3 a day down to 2 constitutes 'therapy', the statists will opine that a reduction in debt spending from the unsustainable to the excessive is good news.

  4. Use the media. The media is by and large a socialist construct. The elite will play the media like a Vivaldi concerto using the lame-brain mass media to engage in the usual litany of apologia. Increasingly the media will portray Europe as peaceful, perfect, united, harmonious, happy and that all of this is threatened by dark, menacing market forces who are rapacious monsters.

  5. More government. The media and the politicians will daily utter that if 'only' there was political will; a spending commission to control fiscal policy; more 'coordination'; or if non-socialists were only more 'flexible' in finding solutions, that all will be well.

  6. Demonize markets. Blame the ratings agencies. Blame the private bond holders. Blame the state-owned banks who will be depicted as 'capitalist'. Blame the US led housing-finance recession which thanks to government incompetence is now heading for a double dip. Like sexual deviants who blame genes, their lousy childhoods or Hollywood, the Euro-crats will demagogue the issue to justify their sorry state of affairs.

  7. Never learn from the experience. When the end does come – and it will – and the Euro is a big fat zero, the Euro-crats will deny that socialism and communalism, along with non-transparent technocratic and undemocratic governance was to blame. Immediately after the Euro's demise states, politicians, the chattering media and the socialist-union complex will demand the creation of a new Euroland currency with even more centralized powers in Brussels. The Europeans will learn nothing from their failed Zeuro experiment. The only conclusion reached was that there was not enough governmental power.

The Euroland breakup will take years and be a messy disaster. But we can expect this from the dark age of current European statist philosophy; nothing, absolutely nothing, will alter the European desire to have the individual destroyed, and the communal erected. The collapse of the Zeuro will be an epochal event full of meaning, morals, and truths. This is precisely why it will be ignored by the media, the politicians, and the Euro-crat elite. They have nothing to gain from reality. They have everything to win by imposing a fantasy world of cult management, frilled and packaged with rhetorical nonsense.
