Canada Day: A multi-cult rewriting of history

Another day of liberal fantasy and nonsense

July 1 is ‘Canada Day’ which was originally inaugurated in the 1880s to celebrate the founding of the Dominion of Canada, a country which was established for reasons related to economic development, security and the buttressing of the British Empire in North America. The Dominion of Canada was founded on Judeo-Christian practices, British institutional heritage and a pride in the accomplishments of the Western Enlightenment, the age of science and the streams of innovation pouring out of Western minds that had and were creating the modern world. But this is no longer relevant. Dominion Day has of course been renamed Canada Day. Canada is no longer a Dominion – it is a welfare multi-cult state. The ancient and systemic ideals that created a prosperous nation have been overturned. Now it is the celebration of Canada day – complete with a modern flag that makes no sense, the celebration of the multi-cult club, and the ignorance of what made the country prosperous in the first place.

There are few people that can name the founding date that created the Dominion of Canada and even fewer who know that at one time Canada was a Dominion – a completely different name for a different type of country then what exists today. In the Constitution Act of 1871 the ‘Dominion of Canada’ was established and this name appeared on all government correspondence including numerous Canadian bills before 1967. Until the 1950s, the term Dominion of Canada was commonly used to identify the country. As Canada increasingly acquired political authority and autonomy from the United Kingdom, the federal government increasingly began using simply Canada on state documents and treaties. The Canada Act of 1982, which repatriated from the UK Canada’s Constitution refers only to the name of the country as ‘Canada’ and as such, is currently the only legal (as well as bilingual) name. This was also reflected later in 1982 with the renaming of the national holiday from Dominion Day to Canada Day.

The significance of the 1982 change cannot be overstated. Much like the Charter of Rights of 1982 which enshrined a legal elite with more power than parliament; minority rights and the victim complex; as well as the inversion of social virtues and equality before the law; the renaming of a country from ‘Dominion’ to just ‘Canada’ was intended to destroy links to the past and create a new ‘post-modern’ state structure. This new country would of course be a radical departure from the old, tired, racist, immoral, decadent and unheroic British past. The new name of Canada symbolized a nation that was not British, not American, but decidedly Euro-French in its orientation with an obsession for failed cultural importation from the third world. Canada was never again to be a Dominion of the Anglo-Saxon establishment and old empire. It was now to become a boarding house for failed multi-cults from around the world.

The socialists and Marxists who have organized the country since the early 1960s and who profess an unbounded faith in EU socialism; the United Nations and the rights of non-Western peoples to terrorise, war and immigrate at will; were purposeful in destroying the past. Nothing annoys the post-modern, legal-political-media elite more than references to an Anglo-Saxon [read Jewish controlled conspiracy] past. The very word Dominion gives such types a rash. ‘Dominion’ was an old British term for a type of government first tried in New England, and in Canada it was presumably resurrected by Anglo inspired politicians, to bind the new fledgling nation to the British empire. Historically it was Sir Samuel Tilley an Anglo of course, who suggested the term, inspired by Psalms 72:8 (from the King James Bible): "He shall have Dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth."[4] This is also echoed in Canada's motto: A mari usque ad mare (Latin for "from sea to sea"). This is of course out of date and should reference, 'from welfare program to welfare program.'

An Anglo inspired name is of course xenophobic, racist, insensitive and insulting to the multi-cult club that is now Canada. It also rubs against those who believe that spirituality, history, and ties to the institutions that created the modern world are feckless and disingenuous. Monarchy may or may not be a good modern institution since it depends on the whims and actions of one insular family, but there are lots of good reasons to ground a nation in historical principle, symbols of freedom, and tradition. Once you cut yourself off from the past you will be doomed to relive it. Yet in the modern Canada the very traditions and institutions that have created a modern and relatively prosperous nation state are not only ignored but openly attacked. This is the malaise that confounds most Western states. You don't long survive as a coherent entity if you hate yourself.

The changing of the country’s name in 1982 – without debate, without a referendum, without a discussion of what it all means – is emblematic of the modern welfare state which is built not on virtues and ideals but on convenience. In the modern socialist state it is not what you and your country will do together to achieve greatness – it is more like ‘how can I get government to pay for my lifestyle and multi-cult choice’. States and empires self destruct when there is no spirituality, no real sense of value or purpose and no overarching ideology to excite and cajole. The modern Canada, with its empty rhetoric, multi-cult celebrations and its obsession with destroying history is not exempt from age old rules and systemic processes. Either one day it will wake up from its dream and start to build on its real historical legacy – or it will simply fall apart. But by then most of the modern multi-cults and their political-media allies will long be dead, resting comfortably with smirks on their sneering snouts, and their bitter 'legacy' will be left for others to clean up.
