Warnings from writer and political scientist Samuel Huntington - critic and prophet.
Dead at age 81, Huntington saw reality for what it is, labeling Islam's borders, 'bloody' in his great work, 'Clash of Civilisations'.
by StFerdIII
Huntington was a unique man in a liberal-socialist world - a professor who was a realist; a writer who saw the real world; a critic who knew Islam's bloody history and concocted the memorable phrase 'Islam's bloody borders' to describe the timeless assault by the devotees of the Koran against any and all 'others'. He works demand reading and thought. Because Huntington deigned to say the truth, the chattering classes, the mindless media and the phalanx of liberal-marxist trained political 'scientists'; found much to hate and loathe about his ideas and factual presentations. Huntington was not a relativist and not a class warring Marxist midget. As such there is no higher acclaim to Huntington's intelligence and perspicacity than the mere fact that the 'establishment' and 'education' system found him to be as acceptable as a party thrown by G.W. Bush.
The Clash of Civilisations came out in 1993 and for those of us who were studying political science at the time, it created quite a stir - both in academe and in the general social zeitgeist or spirit of the times. Relativism, Western guilt, white racism, imperial crimes - all these are taken as 'facts' pointing to the criminal nature of the Anglo-white enterprise over the past 500 years. Only whites and Anglos are guilty of evil so the current theories portend. Britain, America and their coteries in Europe must be forever humiliated and humbled against older, civilised, peaceful and wondrous civilisations in other parts of the world. Ergo Islamic violence is generated from these white crimes and the insatiable rapacity of white imperialism. Poor little Muslims are only defending themselves against greedy whites and their Joo friends.
Or so the media-academe industrial complex screams, barks, and yelps.
For bipeds the theory that somehow Islam is not to blame for 1400 years of violence, war, slavery, and bloody imperialist expansion is remarkably ignorant. Violence in Iraq long pre-dates the hated Bushitler. It actually began before 656 A.D. when Muslims split into Shia and Sunni camps, in effect the party of Mohammed's tribe, versus the party of Mohammed's family, each one vying for power, and each group using violence and war to achieve their political aims. Tens of thousands of Shia dead littered Iraq circa 660 A.D. - quite a long time before Bushitler's 2003 A.D. invasion. Huntington as a professional political scientist discerned this real world for what it was - not what he thought it should be. Islam's borders have been bloody since 630 A.D. when Muslim armies left the Arabian desert and began the long 1400 year imperial project to bring the entire world under the control of the Meccan moon cult deity named ali-ilah or Allah. It is a project which is still underway. Islam's impetus to domination has never diminished. This Huntington knew, and this he could portray simply by looking at the endless number of conflicts along Islam's 'looping border' to use his phrase.
In fact there is not one single part of Islam's 'looping border' which is not engaged in violence or war. This has been true throughout history. Even during periods highlighted by Muslim apologists as ones of 'greatness' during say the reigns of the Abbasids in the Near East, or of the Ummayads in Spain; Islam was never at peace but always involved in either war, conversion or acts of social supremacy. We see the same today - except that the social and cultural struggle of Islam against everyone else has now been brought to Western urban centers. The base stupidity of the multi-cult world - that all cultures are the same; that all people are the same; that all people desire peace, love and the new BMW - is highlighted by real world facts. A great majority of Pakistanis in Britain are forced to marry their first cousins. Mohammed is the name of a majority of babies born in Rotterdam and Brussels. Enclaves in Malmo, Amsterdam, and Paris are no-go Muslim only zones. Street riots from Sweden to Italy are common in Muslim areas. Demands for yet more state funded Muslim schools, prayer rooms, congress halls and even political parties are now so routine as not to merit media mention. Islam's bloody borders are now inside Western cities.
Huntington's great crime was of course to be a patriot and someone who believed that culture, blood ties and soil were more important than economics. Man is not driven by the need of economic gain alone. That facile and ridiculous theory is the basis of political-economic relativity. Muslims want the BMW, the babes in Prada sunglasses, and the new i-pod, as much as any craven, guilt ridden, white criminal in toothless-ville America. Well not really. People are tribal, local, nationalistic, and emotional to the point of blindness and immaturity. Countless wars have been fought in history not just over trade, gold, or slaves, but over land, soil, 'homeland' and tribal supremacy or survival. If man was just an economic animal, Churchill would have signed a free trade agreement with Hitler, and Arabs would launch new products and technologies instead of rockets from Gaza.
Huntington wrote a lament in his book,"American Creed," outlining the decline of American intellectual and moral strength. The key elements which make America great -- the English language, Christianity, religious commitment, English concepts of the rule of law, the responsibility of rulers, and the rights of individuals -- are derived Huntington said, from the "distinct Anglo-Protestant culture of the founding settlers of America in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries." And these are all in decline. It is not that white Anglos are superior. It is that white Anglo culture is superior.
Huntington was skeptical of the Iraq war viewing it as an unnecessary imperial project. For Huntington his preference was for America to remain America - a cohesive, Anglo culture, supporting a robust nationalism and "devoted to the preservation and enhancement of those qualities that have defined America since its founding." He rejected the ridiculous 'one world' baloney of the Clinton years, and the UN lovers. The world as Huntington knew is not some borderless wonderland of loving clans holding hands and engaged in Socratic dialogue and implementing Christ's ethical plan and Buddha's injunction of peace and serenity. It is a world of competition, danger, evil, war, irrational actors and actions and one in which man is primarily Homo Culturus, not Homo Economicus.
Huntington's works should be read and understood. He gave America and the world a warning about Islam and about culture. The one-world epiphany of the liberal left is a fantasy. Islam's 1400 year cultural and social jihad makes that rather obvious.
