The remarkable fantasy of Arab victimhood
On the losing side of 3 wars to save civilisation, yet they are the 'victims'.
by StFerdIII
It is certainly a remarkable transformation. The Arabs – including the so-called 'Palestinians' – have fought on the wrong side in 3 world-wars; follow a racist and supremacist ideology; engage in terror attacks against civilians; openly advocate fascist genocide, rejected 3 sensible two-state solutions with the Jews, and yet somehow they are the victims. Is there any other historical example like this? Since when are losers in wars; supporters of fascism; genocidal killers and terrorists funded, nursed, embraced and coddled like the Arabs? What is going on?
The main Arab grievance against Israel – that it is an 'occupying' power is of course a lie. Any reading of Israeli-Arab history since 1880 makes some facts rather plain. The Jewish homeland mandate, supported by the League of Nations and effected in 1948, gave only Jewish majority and controlled land to the Jews. For centuries many parts of Israel had been Jewish including the holy centers of Tiberius, Safed, Hebron and Jerusalem.
Starting in 1880 Jewish refugees, escaping the pograms and racism of Europe and Russia, began to settle in the British Mandate buying unused and unoccupied land from absentee Arab landlords. Unlike the Arabs, the Jews actually bought the land. Land records and titles prove this. The Arab invasions of Israel in 637 A.D. on the other hand, were an imperialist venture. Jewish villages, cities and farms were overrun, and an apartheid state [dhimmitude] was established. The Arabs ruled and the Jews were highly taxed second class citizens without rights, without power and without legal standing.
Contrary to Arab propaganda the Jews have never attacked the Arabs or the so-called Palestinians since 1948. On 5 occasions Arab armies attempted to wipe out Israel. Arab pronouncements and objectives in each of these wars was clear – all Jews had to be annihlated. Mudering civilians was Arab policy. In each of the 5 major attacks on Israel since 1948, the Arabs attacked civilian centers. Jordanian, Egyptian, Iraqi, Syrian, Lebanese and 'Palestinian' tanks, planes, and rockets crashed into non-military targets including elementary schools, hospitals, suburbs and shopping areas. Widespread carnage and terrorist murder are the Arab's tools of choice.
No such civilian attacks have ever been carried out by Israeli forces, regardless of liberal-international media reports. IDF [Israeli Defence Forces] have only killed Arab citizens by accident. Arabs routinely situate armament production complexes; rocket launchers and howitzers as well as fighting contingents beside or on top of civilian buildings. Arab fighters also dress as women, dress in civilian clothes and send females and children to be used as suicide bombers. In such an environment it is impossible not to kill by accident, innocent civilians. But this is the fault of the Arabs not the Jews. It is the Arabs who employ such techniques, not the Jews. And it is the Arab-Muslim death cult, that sends pregnant women and young children to their martyred deaths.
Israel has never made the murder of Arab citizens a military objective. Israeli law manages the military. The IDF must conform to stringent rules of engagement – in this regard Israel is the only state in history in which the military has to answer, even in times of perpetual war – to the civilian legal code and the Israeli supreme court. Israel in short, has the strongest system of protection for citizen and legal rights in the world.
Beyond this Israeli society provides world-class health care and societal services for citizens and non-citizens alike. The Jewish hospital system treats Arabs and non-Arabs equally. Israeli medical centers have been open for non-Israelis including Lebanese Muslims and Christians; Egyptians; Ethiopians, Bosnians and Darfurians. No Arab state has ever given care and hospitality to suffering Arab or Muslim nationalities like the Jews have.
Israel at its own expense has bused in Lebanese Muslims and Christians for treatment [during the long Lebanese civil war]; airlifted Bosnian and Darfurian Muslims to camps in Israel and made homes for Ethiopian Jewish and Christian refugees. It has also tried magnificiently to integrate its 1 million Arabs into mainstream Jewish society. Arabs run important companies, have representatives in Parliament and the full force of Jewish law and rights on their side. This says nothing about the economic development of the area and the thousands of jobs that the Jews have created for their Arab citizens.
Can the Arabs say the same about Jews or Christians in their midst? Of course not.
Jews and Christians in the Arab world are openly discriminated against. This is a historical fact that has not changed since the 637 A.D. invasion by the Arabs, of Jewish and Christian territory. The only 'occupiers' of land are the Arabs. The Arabs have no claim to any part of Israel or Philistine [Palestine]. As they squatted for centuries on what is now Israeli property the Arabs did nothing with the land. Once the Jews came back the area literally bloomed. As Israel prospered more Arabs moved in to take advantage of economic opportunity. How ridiculous then, to claim that the Jews stole the land. They bought and developed it and so the Arabs moved in.
Census records in 1937 and 1947 revealed that the Jewish state had a majority Jewish population. About 600.000 or so Jews were resident in the Jewish homeland against about 385.000 'other' including Arabs, Christians, Druze and non-aligned. How then did the Jews steal their territory?
As the Arabs relentlessly attacked the Jews, Israel expanded. It had to, to survive. Buffer zones and corridors had to be created to protect major Jewish population centers. Today fences, security perimeters, road blocks and detailed checking of any and all traffic is a national security necessity. The fact that the Arabs created the problem in the first place is largely forgotten. Instead of accepting 3 generous 2 state-solutions, the Arabs decided to wage war and unholy terror.
For Arabs terrorism pays. It perpetuates the victim and death cult of the Arab culture. It forces the UN to run 'refugee' camps for Arabs [about 400.000 were displaced during the various wars as against 900.000 Jews many of those Arabs were told to leave by their leaders], but the Jews are given no such support. The UN refugee camps house about 3 million Arabs – including all the descendants of those supposed refugees. An Arab was a refugee if he moved more than 2 miles from his place of birth [the UN definition].
A Jew who was kicked out of Iraq for example, and who had his money, house and assets stolen is of course not a refugee. The post 1945 exodus of Jews from Arab lands - about 900.000 – is according to the great minds of the international community, not a refugee issue. These are just Jews after all. In any event millions of Arabs have sat in ghettoes for 60 years – unaided by their great Arab leaders and Arab friends.
It is of course better for the Arabs to leave the Palestinians to squat, gripe and hate. They are useful pawns for the Arab world to use against Israel. Terrorism is good business for the Arab leaders, Arafat for instance accumulated net assets of $300 million. Instead of reforming their failed proto-fascist states the Arabs can simply call the Jews fascist oppressors and take forlorn pictures of children victimised by the Jews to stir up media and public anger. The fact that Islam's racist and genocidal ideology runs contrary to the UN's declaration of human rights, or the European's vaunted charters of morality and self-preening is of course unimportant. The Jews after all are to blame.
It is certainly repulsive that the Arab-Muslim world which allied itself twice with Germany and then with the Soviets; and which engages in genocidal conduct against Jewish citizens and Christians, are now viewed as the 'victims'. There is something tawdry, disturbing and surreal in all of this. Arab and Islamic culture and ideology are failures. Not even the necessity of oil access can negate this fact. It is truly bizarre.
