Letters by a modern St. Ferdinand III about cults

Gab@StFerdinandIII - https://unstabbinated.substack.com/

Plenty of cults exist - every cult has its 'religious dogma', its idols, its 'prophets', its 'science', its 'proof' and its intolerant liturgy of demands.  Cults everywhere:  Corona, 'The Science' or Scientism, Islam, the State, the cult of Gender Fascism, Marxism, Darwin and Evolution, Globaloneywarming, Changing Climate, Abortion...

Public Unions lead to higher taxes and bankruptcy.

Rigification and socialism are unhealthy.

by StFerdIII

Unionization is the surest path to bankruptcy. The auto industry illustrates that point. Hyundai, a non-unionized firm was making tin-car cars with scooter wheels in the 1970s. They are now the fastest growing auto manufacturer in North America, competing now directly with prestige brands. Caterpillar, Boeing, John Deere, WalMart and countless other successful market leading firms, show what can be done when unions are ejected, rejected or minimized. Unions are in the business to enrich union management; support socialist politicians; rigidify social policy and cartelize their industry and deny competition. Government unions are in the business of extorting huge ransoms in pay and pensions. Teachers unions are in the business of increasing pay for non-performance and shrinking work-loads, class sizes and enforcing mind-numbing dogma on untutored minds. No successful enterprise in history has ever been unionized. Not one.

Much of the debt burden we suffer under is due to unions, their policies and their costs. Simply put we can't afford unions anymore. But nothing will be done to curb union aggrandizement in Canada or Europe.

Canadians who work in non-union shops want nothing to do with unions, which is why total union membership in Canada has dropped from 38% in 1981 to 29% today.

....Government jobs are almost 75% unionized, and nobody has a chance of getting out of the unions. Across the country, from the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) to the provincial teachers’ unions to all the other government employee groups at national and municipal levels, the big government unions have a hammer lock on workers — and taxpayers.

That entrenched control over government monopoly services, imbedded in law and policy, puts Canadian union leaders in the feather-bedded, gold-plated drivers’ seat of public sector operation and fiscal policy. As a result, there will be be no Wisconsin-style move to reign in union power in Canada’s provincial capitals, or in Ottawa, no matter how bloated the union pension plans may be or how great the disparity between the wages in the public and private sector.

The leaders of Canada’s richest and most powerful labour organizations have such a legal and political grip on the delivery of government services — and on politicians — that they have nothing to fear from the great union wars now underway in Wisconsin and other states.....

Busting the unions which has to be done is hard. Most politicians are cowards and left-wing. They need union workers, money and support. The laws are also on the side of the unions. In the EU and Canada, collective bargaining is a constitutional right if you can believe that. So if you try to limit or break a union there will be court challenge and the deep coffers, not to mention the union-friendly judiciary will block any attempt at limiting union power, or breaking their hold on government monopoly services. In Canada and elsewhere workers are not guaranteed the right not to join unions, nor not to pay union dues. This is incredible. Unions are in the market of buying political support and many of their 'projects' would no doubt not be supported by good number of their union members. But the members have no say, and little rights.

Union power and money is a main reason why the Great Man, the Obama was lifted into the presidency. Unions donated to the new deity over $160 million in the last election cycle. They own the Obamed along with Wall Street. The White House's domestic policy and economic initiatives cannot be understood if that fact is ignored. And what has happened in the US under the new deity? A doubling of the US national debt and guaranteed 10% deficits stretching forward as far as the new Zeus' eyes can see. Thanks unions. This is what it always leads to with unions – bankruptcy in all areas of the political-economy. Including cultural and moral.
