Letters by a modern St. Ferdinand III about cults

Gab@StFerdinandIII - https://unstabbinated.substack.com/

Plenty of cults exist - every cult has its 'religious dogma', its idols, its 'prophets', its 'science', its 'proof' and its intolerant liturgy of demands.  Cults everywhere:  Corona, 'The Science' or Scientism, Islam, the State, the cult of Gender Fascism, Marxism, Darwin and Evolution, Globaloneywarming, Changing Climate, Abortion...

Illegal immigration is a net drain on society

Not only is illegal immigration immoral, it is economically unviable

by StFerdIII

US governments have abdicated the single most important covenant in the ‘Hobbesian’ contract between the ruling elite and citizens - namely security and protection of borders. The US illegal immigration problem is not a simple matter of illegals infiltrating an undefended southern border. It is an invasion of massive proportions that no WSJ or Big Business spin can justify. The number of illegals, is according to many studies, far above the publicly stated 11 million level that the government claims. It is more likely using some common sense and basic analysis above the 20 million level. Governments have neglected their primary duty in not securing the border. Now incredibly the media, illegals and political populists cry that ‘illegals have rights’ and if you oppose these rights you are a racist. The allegation is sickening and again highlights the poverty of small l, left wing liberalism. Security has nothing to do with race and neither does government responsibility.

By granting amnesty to those who have broken the law you set dangerous precedents. You will immediately triple the number of illegals-cum-citizens over night as their family or ‘extended friends’ join them. This will produce a wide ranging set of political-economic and social changes in large parts of the country – none of which has been thought through yet [such as demands for bilingualism which should be rejected out of hand and the load on services to supply education and health to those who do not speak english]. By neglecting to uphold the law and respect the rights of those who have legally applied for US immigration visa and working rights you in effect tell the world that illegal activity is to be condoned. How this helps a society is beyond me. Yet even more absurd canards are being used by the pro-illegal camp to promote anti-societal activity and deny the rights of law abiding citizens.

For instance the WSJ and other commentators maintain that the current Hispanic invasion is similar to the immigration wave of 1890-1930. This is utterly false. The late 19th century and early 20th century immigrations were lawful adhering to the rules at that time. They were also largely European based and culturally quite similar to previous migrant waves. Though ‘native born’ Americans might have resented the new arrivals from Russia; Germany; the Balkans; or Italy; this is nothing new. In every society immigrant waves have been subjected to various forms of racism or slander. This is an unfortunate aspect of human nature. But the current debate has nothing to do with racism though the pro-illegal crowd wants the mass to believe that this is the central issue. The debate over illegal immigration centers on the following: in an age of terror; cultural wars over values and even the use of English; post modern vs. conservative politics; and the decrepitude and financial bankruptcy of the welfare state; we need to secure our borders and our national, legal rights. Period.

For the pro-illegal crowd their biggest canard, besides race, is of course about economics.

As you would expect in post-modern socialist states the turns of phrase are emotive not substantive. The pro-illegal immigration crowd comprising business, the church, leftists and latinos focus on ‘jobs that Americans will not do’; ‘racial rights’; ‘respect for hardworking latinos’ etc. None of these screams for sympathy make any sense. There are plenty of jobs that Americans will do – if business would bother to hire people for those particular jobs. If you don’t enforce the laws of the land and a business owner has a choice between paying Luis Mexicano $7 per hour with no extra costs and Joe Wilson $10 per hour with an extra $3 for benefits and taxes and the job can be done equally well by both with the same rate of productivity, then Luis will win. If the government can’t enforce its own laws and does not care about border security then why should a business owner?

Another discomforting fact for the pro-illegal crowd is that illegal immigration costs society money – about $30 billion per year in the US. Costs include prison; police; education; welfare; hospitals and other uninsured services. This net drain will only rise once the US grants amnesty to the 25 million or so illegals. Once amnesty is handed out then every illegal will invite their family or spouse into America. Suddenly the 25 million problem will escalate overnight to 50 million. Sure some of the costs after amnesty might be offset by illegals who are quasi-legal and are now paying tax, but the $30 billion costs over time will rise not fall as services are accessed by 50 million people. The only people who profit from illegal immigration are the business owners of course not the general public.

So instead of acting like a nation state interested in security and legal immigration the US devolves into meaningless debate and emotive nonsense about ‘rights’ and ‘jobs others won’t do’. Interesting. Maybe the ‘jobs others won’t do’ crowd can take a walk on Saturday afternoon in Fatsville Shopping center and behold the young attached to bodies that could use some hard manual labor. Maybe if we stopped telling the poor dears that they are beyond such work, then US employers could hire US natives for ‘jobs others won’t do’. But then again those against illegal immigration are of course just a bunch of white racists. Now that is a meaningful and highly intelligent argument.
