Letters by a modern St. Ferdinand III about cults

Plenty of cults exist - every cult has its 'religious dogma', its idols, its 'prophets', its 'science', its 'proof' and its intolerant liturgy of demands.  Cults everywhere:  Islam, the State, the cult of Gay and Queer, Marxism, Darwin and Evolution, 'Science', Globaloneywarming, Changing Climate, Abortion....a nice variety for the human-hater, amoral, anti-rationalist to choose from.  It is so much fun mocking them isn't it ?

Mass murder and the culture of passive fatalism.

Cultural Marxism is destroying our survival instincts.

by StFerdIII

It is boring but it bears repeating - culture is king. For all the ‘analysis’, self-flagellation, and therapeutic rhetoric, it is only now, almost a week after the V-Tech massacre, that people are starting to question the most obvious and most disturbing aspect of the mass murder. How can a frail Korean national spend 3 hours killing 32 people, on a campus populated by thousands, most likely firing an average of 3-5 shots per victim? The answer lies in what American culture has become.

The juxtaposition could not be more dramatic or ironically poetic, and it comes seemingly straight out of a Tom Wolfe novel. Literally hundreds if not thousands of strong, young, healthy, American adults, in the prime of their physical prowess did nothing to stop one man from a heinous rampage. Hundreds of adult citizens, supposedly grown up on violent entertainment, and bursting with primitive impulses, meekly acquiesced to one lone lunatic with a gun. They saw, watched, heard and then fled from a frail psychopath, as he methodically fired 3-5 bullets into 32 people over a 3 hour period. No counter attack, no group resolve, no acts of defiance or heroism. Only a weak 76 year old Holocaust survivor had the civilisational instinct to challenge the mass murderer, dying in the attempt, but saving others by his courage.

Is this now the culture of America? A culture of passivity and cowardice? One would expect the citizens of socialist nations to submit themselves to evil and terror. The cultural Marxist ethos is expressed in what Mark Steyn call’s ‘a fatalistic shrug’. This ethos of post-modern relativity and cultural ambiguity mandates inter-alia, Gandhian non-violence. It was Gandhi you might remember who instructed the Jews during the Holocaust to accept their fate since the Germans could destroy their physical forms, but not own their souls. Apparently such drivel and stupidity has seeped deep into the Western sub-conscious.

This pervasive cultural Marxism and the ‘who cares’ philosophy of submission permeates the entire Western world in various and invidious forms. One expects that Gandhian intonations to ‘accept your fate’ finds widespread acceptance in Europe and Canada. Steyn’s ‘shrug’ is the involuntary admission of defeat and doom. When an Algerian murdered 15 women some years ago in Montreal, he ordered the men outside to wait in the corridor. In good post-modern, non-violent, Gandhi-like fashion the men of course complied. Apparently none of them thought that a group of young male adults, in the glory years of physical strength, could overpower a lone gunman. So they sat in the corridor and listened to the massacre and did exactly what Gandhi and relativists teach – nothing.

The Virginia Tech massacre is emblematic of what is wrong with post-modern Marxist culture. Disarm citizens through agencies, fiats, and university created ‘gun free zones’ so madmen and criminals can slaughter innocents. Then blame guns for the violence. Teach people passivity. Propagandize endlessly about the ‘one world model’; all men are wonderful; all cultures are great; and that no culture is supreme. Don’t defend your lives, or your civilization, just meekly accept the outcome of fate. Die with Gandhian calm secure in the knowledge that your soul is safe even as your bodily form is ripped apart by acts of violent evil.

If you thought post-modern liberal idiocy was an invention of the ‘vast right wing conspiracy’ think again. The cultural Marxists have done their job well. It is shocking to think that thousands of American adults, in the glory of early adulthood, vibrant, alive, keen and physically at their apex, did nothing while 33 people were slaughtered, leaving it up to the ‘authorities’, the police, or a 76 year old Holocaust survivor to protect their collective lives. It is a profound example of general narcissism, apathy and cowardice.

Virginia Tech is the ultimate advertisement for the decline in moral and physical valor amongst the youthful class. Culture is king and when your culture resembles the mocking irrationality of Gandhi’s belief that ‘we should accept our fate’, it is a sure sign that something is very sick and disturbed in the philosophical zeitgeist. Apathy in the face of evil is hardly comforting and it bodes very ill for the future. That is the first and most vital lesson of the mass terror which occurred at Virginia Tech.
